Welcome These Two New Commits to UCLA football

The above picture has absolutely nothing to do with this news I am about to bring to you, but UCLA football has just received 2 new commits.

1. Lacy Westbrook: (Offensive Guard from Compton Dominguez.  Click for his profile on Scout – Click for his profile on Rivals.)  Both recruiting sites seems to have Lacy as a 4 star offensive guard who is listed at a height of 6’5 and weight of 300lbs even.  When doing some creepy internet stalking via google, you can find Westbrook’s highlight video here and his interview after USC Jr Day here.  Seems like a great get for UCLA since Lacy has an offer from Auburn as well, and those retarded hicks really know their football.

2. Ka’imi Fairbairn: (Kicker from Punahou HS in Hawaii. Click for his profile on Scout – Click for his profile on Rivals.)  Both recuriting sites do not have Ka’imi rated at all, but you can still find his kicking highlights on youtube by clicking here.  Although I have no idea who would want to watch high school football kicker’s highlight reel, well acutally I do, it’s probably the same people who watch porn for the intense dramatic diaglogue.  Anyway, this seems to be a signal for Kip “Slant” Smith that his services will no longer be needed next year, and also a signal for Chris Roberts that we are itching to get a new announcer (Owamagbe Odighizuwa, Aramide Olaniyan, and now Ka’imi Fairbairn.  Chris, we are pushing you out man).

Someone made a great compilation video of Tevin McDonald’s 3 interception game against the Cal Bears and posted up on youtube.  Oh wait, that guy was me?  Wow what a great guy I am.  Sounds like a I need to be rewarded with a 93 minute long non stop fellatio by a hot….  No, NOT YOU SIR! NOT YOU!

Thoughts on UCLA vs CAL

kevin prince rushes for 169 yds to beat cal 31-14

Had to resort to watching the game on DVR a day later (had to attend a friends wedding, cal grad’s wedding no less).  Here are my thoughts on watching our triumph over the Bears in not so real time.

* I now know the answer to that espn article that caused so much controversy, “what if Michael Vick was white?”  For one Saturday of 10/29/11, the answer to that question asked by ESPN was Kevin motherfucken Prince.   I mean okay, I admit Kevin is not the hippest guy in the world, and he probably has a mp3 collection reflecting the musical taste of a 64 year old Jewish man, but man when that whiteboy starts running in a straight line he really got some wheels on him.  Prince is like Johnathan Franklin if you take away Jetski’s had no ability to make cuts.   You know, decent speed in just a straight line, the whiteman speed, yeah Kevin has got it.

* Tevin McDonald played a monstrous game, in fact the whole defense played a great game.  Datone Jones needs to stay inside of the defensive line from now on to provide much needed stability while freeing up a space at the end for a pass rushing speedster like Graham or Owa.  I also gotta say that Andrew Abbott is becoming my favorite defensive player since ATV.  The kid is all effort and heart, he always seems to make the right plays at the right time.

* Jeff Tedford, I know we got our own coaching problems right now but isn’t Tedford signed for like 3 million a year until the year 2200 or something?   I thought he was a quarterback guru?  I mean besides Aaron Rodgers I can’t think off the top of my head who Tedford has groomed to be an elite quarterback, and I am not talking about at the NFL level but in the college level!

* Finally Zach Maynard…  Yikes.   He is like Cal’s version of an anorexic Kevin Craft minus the giant beak.  But unlike Kevin who showed heart and determination even in tough times where everything was going wrong for him (Kevin is actually one of my favorite players from the past because of his will, I know I gotta funny way of showing it), Zach seems to get deflated with every bad turn.  I mean I don’t know how I even knew Zach was getting deflated since the dude must weigh like 87 pounds, but I saw him literally getting skinner skinner with more ints he threw.  Maynard really needed to be benched in this game not just for his team sake but for his own psyche.

I gotta say I really enjoyed this win over CAL not because I can now talk crap to my CAL friends/coworkers, but because it really excited the kids wearing that UCLA uniforms on the field.

Lets get ready to beat them Princeton of Date Rapes next week to take charge of the first place in Pac 12 South!  GO BRUINS!
